Ahmed enjoys teaching Accounting and Finance modules with a special interest in Management Accounting. He teaches various modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Ahmed's PhD thesis is based on the management accounting department within the UK NHS Foundation Trusts.
Ahmed has a vast amount of teaching experience in Higher Education (HE) and financial industry experience working at 'The Emirates Group' and 'Glen Dimplex'. Ahmed has worked as a Management Accountant in the financial industry, gaining exposure to vast amounts of responsibilities. These covered planning, reporting, coordinating, budgeting, organising and directing companies for the future.
He initially started in Higher Education as a 'Subject Support Tutor' at the University of Salford (Sept 2021). Ahmed worked with module leaders in supporting the delivery of modules, lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical workshops. Ahmed delivered 1:1 advice and support to students on how to develop specialist subject-level academic and professional skills. Ahmed worked as an accessible, relatable source of reassurance and encouragement for students struggling with their studies.
Ahmed then gained the position as Associate Lecturer in Accounting and Finance here in 2022 along with succeeding his role at University of Salford by June 2022. Ahmed's role as Associate Lecturer here was aimed at teaching the management accounting module to international students. Ahmed's steady fast approach to teaching in Higher Education resulted in Ahmed gaining the position of 'Lecturer in Accounting and Finance' at UCLan since May 2022.
