Data Protection Officer
The University’s Information Governance Manager & Data Protection Officer advises the University how to comply with data protection legislation and manages and coordinates requests made under the UK GDPR and associated legislation.
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is the lead supervisory authority for UK GDPR purposes for UCLan and its subsidiaries. UCLan is registered with the ICO as a data controller and our registration number is Z5512420. Accessing your information
Data protection legislation gives individuals the right to ask any organisation that processes personal data about them for a copy of that information. You are entitled to see personal data that are held electronically as well as those held in most manual records. These types of requests are called Subject Access Requests (SAR).
