Entry Requirements


Please note the requirements below are indicative only

High School Diploma, plus High School Diploma/GED

Plus one from below:

  • SAT 1050 from ‘Evidence Based Reading and Writing’ and ‘Math’
  • ACT 20
  • 1 AP College Board Exam at grade 3
  • SAT Subject test at grade 600
  • Dual/Concurrent Enrolment 1 class/3credits at grade B from an academic class
  • Associate diploma/Associate degree/Junior degree holders (general or specialised with a pass.

Honours level classes, AP classes completed without taking the AP College Board exam or CLEP exams may be accepted on a case by case basis in place of the above. High School Diploma GPA 2.9+/4 may be accepted on a case by case basis in place of the above.

Our entry requirements will vary depending on the individual course and the year of entry and the below are indicative only. Any reference to typical entry qualification or grades stated on the website are provided as a guide only. There is no guarantee that applicants who have, or are predicted to achieve, grades equivalent to or exceeding typical entry qualifications or grade will be made an offer by the University of Central Lancashire.

Minimum English Language Requirements


80%/3.0GPA High School Grade 11 English.

  • 80% High School Grade 12 English.
  • 2 English Classes/2 semesters of English at University.
  • AP English Language or Literature grade 3.
  • Standard English Requirements.

If your academic and/or English language qualifications are not sufficient to allow for direct entry to one of our undergraduate or postgraduate taught programmes, you may wish to consider one of our Undergraduate or Master Foundation Programmes, offered at the University of Central Lancashire by ONCampus. Successful completion of this programme can guarantee entry to a wide range of programmes with us.
