Legacy Giving

Giving to UCLan

When writing a will, and after making provision for your loved ones, leaving a charitable gift in your will is an excellent way to support the University of Central Lancashire.

By leaving a legacy to the University, no matter how large or small, you can play your own special part in supporting us, our community and our students.

Legacies play a significant part in our future development and success. They can be a lasting testament to your contribution to educating future generations of students.

Leaving a legacy is simple, tax efficient and long lasting. It can sometimes allow a more significant donation than may have been possible during your lifetime.

Your legacy can be directed to any aspect of the our work that resonates personally. Your support could fund research, improve our teaching facilities or ensure that students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We are unfortunately unable to offer any formal legal or financial advice on will making or estate planning, as we are not qualified advisors.

Your legacy donation

We welcome the opportunity to talk to you about your legacy wishes and intentions. We'll always respect your wishes and understand if you would prefer to remain anonymous.

In Memory Gifts

Donations in memory enable you to celebrate your loved one's life and interests. We have a variety of ways for your loved one to be remembered through gifts made to the university. To leave a donation in memory, you can either:

  • Discuss with your funeral director. They can arrange the donation for you and send your kind donations onto us.
  • If you'd prefer to organise the collection yourself, you can set up a JustGiving page or send a cheque.

We are very grateful to all who remember their loved one with a gift to us.

If you'd like to find out more, you can email our Giving Team. We'll be able to discuss options with you, and help explain the process in more detail.

Our funds

We have a number of funds available to gift to. Each fund is committed to supporting our students in a number of ways. You can find out more about each fund by visiting their page.
