Dr Sujit Ralin Daniel
Sujit teaches pharmacology and therapeutics over the past two years in the UK. He has had 10 years of teaching experience in pharmacology and therapeutics in India, even as he specialised in antimicrobial drug resistance and medical education. He has handled classes in pharmacology and related subjects for the undergraduate programs in medical sciences (MBBS), dental sciences (BDS), and nursing (BSc).
Dr Sujit is a senior lecturer in medical pharmacology here at UCLan. Currently, he is engaged in teaching pharmacology & therapeutics to medical students of both legacy and new curriculum, and he also serves as the module lead for ICM 6 course.
Dr Sujit has a keen passion for teaching and has been teaching Pharmacology & therapeutics to medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), nursing and other para-medical students for more than a decade. Having graduated in Medicine from St Petersburg State Medical Academy, Russian Federation, Dr Sujit did his post-graduation, Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D), in Pharmacology (2014) from the prestigious Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, India. After post-graduation, he served as a faculty at the Dr Somervell Memorial CSI Medical College & Hospital, Karakonam, teaching pharmacology and therapeutics to medical, nursing and other para-medical students.
While serving Dr SM CSI Medical College and Hospital, India, his services included leadership and membership of several academic and faculty committees including the Institutional Scientific Committee, Medical Education Unit, Curriculum Implementation Support Program and Pharmacovigilance Committee. He successfully completed the Revised Basic Course on Medical Education Technologies and the Sensitisation Program on Attitude Ethics and Communication (AET-COM) at the Medical Council of India Nodal Centre for Faculty Development, Govt Medical College, Kottayam, India.
Dr Sujit was nominated by the Dr SM CSI Medical College to represent the College and Hospital for the workshop on Initiation and Implementation of Antimicrobial Stewardship Program conducted by the globally reputed Christian Medical College & Hospital (CMC,2018), Vellore, India.
Dr Sujit has organised conferences, workshops, besides being invited to deliver academic lectures in colleges. His area of interest includes teaching and learning, and research in the field of Pharmacovigilance, Antimicrobial stewardship and rational use of medicines. Hailing from a family of academics, Dr Sujit is committed to promoting academic excellence and quality among medical graduates.
