Dr Mohammed Moinuddin
Dr Moinuddin graduated in Statistics (BSc (Hons), MS & PhD) and is a Lecture in Biostatistics. Dr Moinuddin has a decade of experience in teaching, developing and applying statistical theory in public health and medicine, spatial big-data and data mining. He received the highest professional award Chartered Statistician from the Royal Statistical Society. He is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Dr Moinuddin loves programming in R and STATA.
Dr Moinuddin teaches Biostatistics at our School of Medicine and Dentistry, and our School of Veterinary Medicine. He has gained immense experience in research and publishing in leading journals in the field of public health & medicine. Open for collaboration in research project, grant application and supervising MS & PhD students. Dr Moinuddin loves to provide statistical and computing support to projects, colleagues and postgraduate students. He also supports research projects through the Research Methods and Statistical Analysis Unit (RMSAU). Dr Moinuddin serves as an Academic Editor for the prestigious journal PLOS ONE.
Dr Moinuddin got his BSc (Hons), MS & PhD in statistics. He also completed his PGC in Teaching in Higher Education. Dr Moinuddin served in various capacities in Statistics in world-leading research & academic institutes including ICDDR,B, Ca' Foscari University in Venice, University College London etc. He taught courses in Biostatistics and Epidemiology in undergraduate and postgraduate medicine. Dr Moinuddin also facilitated health data modelling workshops for PhD students and academicians in the UK and Sweden.
For a decade, Dr Moinuddin researched physical exercise, mental wellbeing, MSK, maternal & child health, noncommunicable disease and medical education. His recent articles published in leading journals including The Lancet, BMC Medicine, Nutrient, BMJ, PLOS ONE etc. Dr Moinuddin is actively collaborating in several studies with Uppsala University in Sweden, Edge Hill University & Sheffield Hallam University in the UK and Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
He is the PI for a project investigating the association dynamics between physical activity, health and wellbeing. He successfully completed supervising two MCh dissertation projects and supported several PhDs while working at the Edge Hill University Medical School.
