Dr Jenny MacDowall

As Director of Clinical Studies, Jenny oversees the delivery of Year 3, 4 and 5 of the MBBS programme.
As Director of Clinical Studies, Jenny has responsibility for Years 3, 4 and 5 of the MBBS programme. This involves oversight of curriculum and assessment, and she acts as key liaison with our partner hospital Trusts. She has a significant role in quality assurance of the programme.
Jenny has a background as a gastroenterologist and held a clinical role within the NHS until 2019. She has worked within medical education since 2000 and joined the University in 2013 as part of the original curriculum development team for the MBBS programme. She has been heavily involved in the process of the course accreditation by the General Medical Council, which was successfully achieved in 2019.
