Catherine supervises both therapy and dental students at Accrington. She is Module lead for Oral Disease and Integrated Practice. She also supervises and lectures on our Bachelor in Dental Surgery (BDS) and Dental Therapy students through their first year in the Phantom head clinic.
Catherine completed a BTEC in pharmaceutical science in 2001. She spent the following 10 years working her way through the Pharmacy department in Royal Preston Hospital to become Lead Pharmacy Technician in the Aseptic Unit. She also picked up a Post Graduate Diploma in management along the way.
Catherine enjoys all aspects of patient care, but is particularly interested in the patient journey, and techniques to overcome dental anxiety. For this reason, in 2018, Catherine completed training in dental acupuncture. Currently, she is studying to complete the Dental Studies (Dental Care Professionals), BSc (Hons).
