Catherine Hartley
Catherine works as a part-time lecturer in Pharmacy Practice within the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences. She also works as a part-time hospital pharmacist.
Catherine teaches across a broad range of topics on the MPharm undergraduate programme.
Catherine graduated from the University of Manchester with a Master of Pharmacy degree. She started her career as a junior hospital pharmacist at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. After completing her clinical diploma, Catherine became a specialist hospital pharmacist. Catherine completed various specialist rotations at the trust. This included a rotation in medical education. This is what inspired Catherine into teaching and academia. She then joined UCLan as a Teacher Practitioner. Catherine has since gained an associate fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and is now a part-time Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice.
