Dr Anna Kenyon
Anna is a Senior Lecturer teaching public health and epidemiology to undergraduate MBBS and postgraduate physician associate courses. As Theme Lead for EIPOM (Evidence in Practice of Medicine), she manages the delivery of seven subjects delivered across the theme. She is actively involved in research with a specialist interest in the intersection between environments and health and in social prescribing.
As well as teaching and managing duties, Anna is the Research Lead for our Social Prescribing Unit. They work in partnership with academia and local providers. She is currently involved in the Community solutions for health equity study, a coproduced research study part of the Fylde Coast Research Collaboration.
Anna's research career spans the NHS, academic and commercial research. She also had a stint in public relations and journalism. She has worked with and collaborated across sectors including the BEGIN (Blue Green Infrastructure for Social Innovation) project which was an international collaboration between academics, designers, engineers and municipal professions from European countries around the North Sea region. Her work as a researcher for the NHS has included working with clinicians, commissioners and policymakers. Whilst working at Manchester's Biomedical Research Centre, she led Patient and Public Involvement feedback for clinical researchers working in MSK and dermatology. Her more recent research focus has been on Green Social Prescribing and Coastal health.
