Dr Andrew Churchill
Andrew has a background in Psychology, with a focus on the area of motor control, with publications in psychology, rehabilitation and sport journals. Andrew has been a Head of several Schools at the University.
Andrew is Head of the School of Arts and Media, having been in the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries as a Head of School since 2015. Andrew has been involved in a number of programmes and subjects in this time. Andrew has researched a number of areas relating to motor control, including sporting superstition, and rehabilitation. More recently Andrew has developed an interest in moral decision making.
Andrew's initial research was on visual information and coordination of actions. After a period of employment as a researcher working for the NHS in Oxford, Andrew also developed in interest in rehabilitation. Initially a Lecturer in Psychology, Andrew was appointed as Associate Head/Dean 2011-14, before being appointed as Head of School in 2014. Andrew has been in the Faculty of Culture and Creative industries since 2015 and is currently Head of the School of Arts and Media. Andrew is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
