Amy Rignall
Amy is a Module Leader and teaches a range of Clinical Skills within our School of Medicine and Dentistry. This is with particular expertise in the provision of care to the critically ill patient and obstetrics and gynaecology. Amy works closely with Medical Students in year four within their Women's Health and Urology rotation.
Amy works within our MBBS program. She supports phase 2 (years 3 to 5) medical students through facilitating clinical skills teaching, and clinical placement support. She also supports students undertaking workplace-based assessment.
Amy has studied here gaining two first-class degrees in Adult Nursing and Midwifery Studies. As a nurse, Amy worked in Critical Care at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. She then worked in Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, returning to East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust as a Registered Midwife. Amy started her career at the UCLan in 2021.
