What part-time work and support is available?
Going to university can be a big financial commitment. We know a lot of students work part-time to help fund both their studies and social life outside of university.
Our careers team are equipped and prepared to help you find part-time work with local businesses surrounding our campuses.
The tools and resources we have available for our students can help you in your search for part-time work, and our teams can help your prepare for application. We can help you with your CV and cover letter for your chosen job, as well as help you with your interview skills and technique.

What other work opportunities are available during your studies?
Student ambassador
If you'd like to work for the university during your time here, you can apply to work as a part-time student ambassador.
As a student ambassador, you will be paid for any work or training, which could include:
- Meeting and talking to potential students
- Supporting virtual and physical events
- Writing blogs
- Delivering tours
- Speaking to applicants
All work and training is flexible and agreed on an ad-hoc basis, so you are able to fit your student ambassador responsibilities around your studies and personal life.
Internships, placements and summer work
A number of our courses offer the opportunity for you to complete internships, placements and summer work.
These are fantastic opportunities to gain experience in your chosen industry during your studies, as well as a chance to get your foot in the door with any potential employers after you graduate.
