Where is the Advice and Resolution Centre?
Our Advice and Resolution Centre (ARC) is located at the University of Central Lancashire Preston campus.
We have a private and safe space near the entrance of the Foster Building.

When do I attend?
Our clinics are only open during the University's term times. We can only offer mediation services outside of these times.
Term 1
- 30 September 2024 - 17 January 2025
Term 2
- 20 January 2025 - 2 May 2025
Our clinics are a mix of both drop-in and appointment sessions.
- A drop-in clinic can be attended at any point during the session.
- An appointment clinic happens at a time arranged with you.

Centre for Mediation
Our Centre for Mediation offers both clinics and mediation training courses. Our clinics help resolve disputes privately and informally, without the need for expensive legal processes. We currently offer civil and commercial mediation and workplace mediation.
Personal injury clinic
If you’ve suffered a physical or psychological injury or condition that wasn’t your fault, you could be entitled to compensation.
Law clinic
We'll provide you with the same high standard of service you'd expect from any solicitor’s practice.
You'll be interviewed by one of our trained student advisers, who will be under the close supervision of qualified solicitors from in-house and local firms in Lancashire. Following the session you'll be provided with written advice.
Immigration clinic
Our free immigration clinic runs once a month with our specialist adviser, Farheen Adam, from Moses Law.
Cyber & data recovery clinic
This clinic is starting in September 2024. We'll be able to provide support and advice on cyber and data recovery issues.
Law drop-in clinic
Our drop-in clinic is run in partnership with Citizens Advice.
This is a free walk-in service and no appointment is necessary however clients will be seen on a first come, first served basis.
Child arrangements advice clinic
Our child arrangements advice clinic provides you with support and advice about the different arrangements that can be put in place for your child(ren) and helps you understand your options.
Policy clinic
Through our policy clinic we conduct research into legal policy, procedure or practice.
