Lancashire Arts Festival Degree Show to open to public
The very best of student work from a variety of creative disciplines is going on display at a free public exhibition at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
The annual Degree Show showcases the work of more than 450 final year undergraduate students from across many subject areas within the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries.
As part of the Lancashire Arts Festival, a programme of creative events taking place across the University, the exhibition will be open daily to the public from 14 – 22 June. Students from architecture, design, fashion, fine art and media will exhibit their work in various buildings across the campus. Highlights include award-winning design projects, inspiring art and sculptures and fashion collections straight off London’s Graduate Fashion Week catwalk.
"The quality is outstanding and I’d encourage as many people as possible to come along and see this varied and exciting exhibition."
Jane Anthony, Executive Dean of the Faculty, commented: “The students have worked extremely hard to put on a very professional show that really has something for visitors of all ages and interests. The quality is outstanding and I’d encourage as many people as possible to come along and see this varied and exciting exhibition.”
The Degree Show will begin on Thursday 14 June at 6.00pm for the Private View, which is open to the public and free to book onto. It will then be open daily 10.00am – 5.00pm, from Friday 15 June until Friday 22 June.
Work is on display in six buildings and more information is available on the Lancashire Arts Festival page. People can also keep up with events by following #LancsArtsFest on Twitter.
