A UCLan team of academics wants to hear from carers to children under four-years-old

Are you a parent, carer or grandparent of a child under four-years-old?

If so, researchers from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) want to hear your views.

A team of academics in UCLan’s THRIVE Research Centre would like to hear from those care givers to understand the best ways to involve parents and immediate family members in research in relation to young children and their families.

Dr Rebecca Nowland, a Senior Research Fellow in UCLan’s Maternal and Infant Nutrition and Nature Unit, said: “To help us develop future research ideas and prioritise projects, we want to identify the issues that matter to parents and how we can include parents, carers and grandparents in the management of the centre and as co-researchers to work with us.

"When looking at the development of young children and what impacts them then who better to ask to share their stories than those who are providing care?"

An interactive workshop is taking place on Wednesday 19 July between 9.30am and 12noon at UCLan and all attendees will receive a £50 voucher.
