Knit in the city

The University of Central Lancashire needs your help with an educational project

Are you a keen knitter or do you have an interest in learning the basics?

If so, then the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) needs your help with an exciting educational project.

Taking place in the University’s new In The City shop, located at the Lune Street entrance to St George’s Centre, knitters are being asked to donate their time to make materials for a science project aimed at infant schoolchildren.

The sessions are taking place every Monday between 1.30pm and 3.30pm and Thursday from 1pm to 3pm for the next three months. They will be led by fibre artist Caroline Finnigan who will take you through the desired patterns and teach those who don’t know how to knit where to start.

Free refreshments will be provided and you can turn up on the day. For more information please contact UCLan’s Dr Liz Granger via email or by phone on 01772 894286.
