A free family-friendly festival is taking place at the University of Central Lancashire next month.
The Festival of Humanities and World Cultures is returning for the second time to bring a celebration of history, literature, languages and world cultures to the local community.
Taking place between 10am and 2pm on Saturday 15 June at the University’s Preston Campus, the event will explore how the study of humanities and world culture brings us together and shapes our world.
Exploring the rich history and tradition of Chinese calligraphy, challenging yourself with family-friendly language activities and games from around the world, and investigating logos, symbols and coats of arms are among the wide-range of hands-on interactive activities on offer.

Deciphering linguistic word puzzles and discovering the history of Preston's Caribbean Carnival and 900 years of Lancashire's history with Lancashire Archives are also some of the activities taking place in Foster Building.
The event has been jointly organised by the University’s Public Engagement Team and the School of Psychology and Humanities.
