The University’s annual Degree Show showcases final year undergraduate work from a variety of courses including, architecture, art, fashion, design, and media.
On display across three buildings, the collections are available for members of the public to visit until Friday 28 June between 9.00am – 5.00pm on weekdays.
Highlights include award-winning fashion designs, stop-motion animation, mythical illustrations and thought-provoking artwork.
The exhibition was attended by Preston Mayor Councillor Phil Crowe and officially opened by the Dean of the School of Arts and Media Professor Peter Lloyd.
"The high standard of work across so many disciplines is amazing and as a School we’re very proud of the hard work the students put in to achieve this level of professionalism."

“With so many different creative areas to look at, there truly is something for everyone and I hope the public pop in to see it for themselves.”
Fine art student Laura Henderson, 21, was inspired by the Barbie movie to look at what it means for a woman to be beautiful as she ages and painted portraits of her gran, grandma and aunty.
She said: “Society is obsessed with the idea of slowing down aging and how beauty is viewed so I wanted to look at the important women in my life to capture their beauty and personality.”

Another student, Georgie Little who is studying animation, also took inspiration from her family to produce her stop-motion animation entitled ‘Pie of the Day’, which she has already started submitting to film festivals.
“I interviewed family members and used direct quotes from them for my script” Georgie said. “It’s a comedy set in a chip shop where the assistant keeps getting a man’s order wrong. I’m a huge Nick Park fan and love the tactile nature of stop-motion, even though it’s very time consuming.”
The University of Central Lancashire Degree Show is free to attend and open to the public until Friday 28 June. It is exhibited in Victoria Building, Hanover Building and the Engineering and Innovation Centre (EIC). More information is available on the Degree Show website
