UCLan Publishing has worked with author A J Hartley to unveil Written Stone Lane
The sequel of a bestselling book set in Preston is to be launched in the city next week.
Author and Prestonian A J Hartley is unveiling Written Stone Lane, which follows on from the bestseller Cold Bath Street, at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) on Tuesday, 29 October.
The evening event will see UCLan Honorary Fellow A J take part in a discussion about his new work which is set in 1970s Preston.
The book features local ghost stories and locations, including the old Booths Café, Fishergate, Preston Bus Station, the Wellington Pub and many more.
A J, who will also be signing copies, will be joined at the event by Preston born Joe Delaney, author of the Spooks series.
Written Stone Lane and Cold Bath Street have both been published by UCLan Publishing, the University’s award-winning publishing house run by students and graduates. Recently it won the Independent Publisher of the Year (Newcomer) and The Times Higher award for Innovation in the Arts.
The free event starts at 6.15pm and takes place in UCLan’s Harrington Lecture Theatre. Books can be bought on the night.
A J will also be signing copies of his book at Waterstones in Preston this Sunday, 27 October, from 12noon.
