Scholarships

Below are the criteria for the award of scholarships:

Sub-Saharan Africa

• Senior Certificate (with matriculation endorsement) with minimum grades ABBBB or National Senior Certificate with minimum grades 76666 (75 – 79%).

• Independent Examining Board (IEB) from private schools with grades B.

Excellence

• Senior Certificate (with matriculation endorsement) with minimum grades AABBB or National Senior Certificate with minimum grades 80 – 100%).

• Independent Examining Board (IEB) from private schools with grades A.

Advanced entry:

Sub-Saharan Africa

• 65% and above in bachelor degree after 3 years of study.

Excellence

• 70% and above in bachelor degree after 3 years of study.

Please note that English as medium of instruction is not accepted by UKVI if a student has taken an academic qualification equivalent to a UK bachelor degree or higher which was taught in South Africa.

Students should hold a Bachelor (Hons) degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% (Second class division 2); 4 year Bachelor degree in Technology (BTech) with a minimum of 60% (Second class division 2).

• 2:1 (70% and above in bachelor degree).

Excellence

• 1^st Class Honours Degree (75% and above in  bachelor honours degree).

Standard English language entry requirements - IELTS 6.0 or Grade 5 in the NSC or Grade C in the Senior Certificate (with matriculation endorsement) or equivalent taken within the last 10 years or equivalent.

Standard English language entry requirements - IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
