Motorsports Workshop
The Motorsports Workshop is a dedicated space created to support our motorsport programmes, catering for race cars, eco cars and a superbike race team.
Students carry out the vast majority of work themselves with assistance from technicians. The premise is the same with all such activities, the aim is to gain real design and production experience.
Motorsports (Cars)
This main workshop allows students to compete in the following events; Formula Ford, Formula Student and the Shell Mileage Marathon.
Motorsports (Eco vehicles)
The workshop offers the chance to take part in the Shell Eco Marathon and Greenpower Challenge.
Motorsports (Superbike)
Students are offered the opportunity to experience competition in the Thunderbike championship with a Yamaha R6.

Kit List
- Motorcycle Dynamometer; MIG/TIG welding; Snap-on Tooling; Car lifts and hoists; Suspension dynamometer; Race truck with tail lift; CAD suite
Availability
9.00am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
Where possible and with prior arrangement, staff will work flexibly during the working day to accommodate specific support requirements which do not fit into the specified timetable.
