Deaf Studies Laboratory
The BSL and Deaf Studies Laboratory is a specially equipped lab for the exclusive use of students on BSL and Deaf Studies courses.
This facility has 18 PCs with HD cameras for the exclusive use of students to record and watch their BSL clips, in order to work on their productive and comprehension skills in British Sign Language.
The cameras have been fitted with wide-angle lenses to allow for the recording of group discussions which will encourage students to develop their conversational skills. The LAB has a designated studio area with a chromakey background, professionally fitted lights and a high end HD camera for the filming of group work of up to 4 people to specifically work on conversations in groups.
