The module provides an opportunity for students to develop their knowledge and competencies in the use of a range of solution focused interventions. Students on the module will examine the underlying values and principles of solution focused brief therapy and the existing evidence base of this approach to working with clients with a range of mental health problems will be evaluated. Emphasis is placed on students developing the competence and skills required for using a range of solution focused interventions in a variety of mental health settings.
