A lot of retailers offer student discount, so it is always worth researching beforehand if you are buying online, or asking in-store.

Take advantage of exclusive student discounts

TOTUM

TOTUM is a popular student discount card and app. TOTUM gives you access to fantastic offers on food and essential items plus fashion, cinema and eating out. It’s endorsed by the National Union of Students and was previously known as the NUS Extra card. The card is available from £14.99 a year, while the digital app is free.

Student Beans and UNiDAYS

The Student Beans and UNiDAYS websites give you access to all kinds of discount codes and exclusive offers. Save money on everything from food and drink to travel, health, entertainment and tech – both in-store and online.

Amazon Prime discount

Students get a free 6-month trial on Amazon prime and then get half price membership for up to 4 years. Student benefits include free streaming, access to student discounts on textbooks, clothes and more. You'll also get free one-day delivery on millions of items. As we have an Amazon Locker on campus it’s easy to pick up your online orders too.

Spotify Premium

Students get Premium free for 1 month. After the month ends, students get access to Spotify Premium for only £5.99/month and can cancel anytime. The usual price for Spotify Premium is £9.99. 

Save money on books

Charity shops are a great place to look for second-hand books for very cheap prices. Lots of publishers and book shops offer student discounts. These include Blackwells, Oxford University Press and Waterstones. 

Discounted train travel

The 16-25 Railcard is for anyone aged 16 to 25 or in full-time study, the railcard saves you 1/3 on train travel. If you're over 26, you can also get 1/3 off rail travel with the 26-30 Railcard. 

Save when you travel by bus

For buses, Stagecoach offers a Preston Unirider, a flexible student bus pass that gives you cheaper travel anywhere throughout Preston and Central Lancashire. Preston Bus also offers a discount rate for UCLan students.
