If you’re looking for the big city experience, Manchester and Liverpool are within easy reach. Both are jam-packed with arts, culture, shopping and nightlife. You’ll find history and culture in Lancaster with castles and art galleries. It is also known for its incredible architecture and tales of witches – all less than an hour away by train.

For outdoor pursuits, there’s no better setting than England’s largest National Park, the Lake District. Here you’ll find some of the most stunning sights in the country with beautiful villages and peaks. It’s a fantastic destination for walking, cycling, sailing and more. Or indulge yourself with an afternoon tea in one of the Lake District’s cosy cafes.
