Robert Gomery

Robert teaches on and co-ordinates the Professional Policing BSc (Hons) degree. Robert is a former police Inspector having served 30 years in Lancashire Constabulary. During his service, he specialised in road death investigation. Robert gained an MSc in Leadership at Lancaster University, with particular emphasis on leading change. In recognition of his contribution to teaching and course redevelopment, he is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Robert works closely with the College of Policing to ensure that the quality of teaching and teaching material maintains the highest standards expected for policing degree qualifications.

Robert has over the last three years contributed to and featured in the BBC programme Front Line Fightback. His policing experience and knowledge has helped inform the programme on the technologies available to law enforcement and the wider public when preventing and detecting crimes.
