Masoom Anwari
Masoom is a Nurse Educator, who is passionate about teaching. She teaches on the BSc Nursing degree as well as the Masters and Nursing Apprentice Programmes. Her role includes teaching Clinical Skills sessions as well as teaching theory sessions across the Adult, Child and Mental Health Fields.
Within the Nurse Educator role, Masoom provides Clinical Skills Support to students, in the University setting, such as the Clinical Skills Labs. The role includes developing sessions and delivering sessions and assessments, such as OSCEs and VIVAs. Masoom also provides links with external organisations, such as Schools and Colleges and delivers interactive sessions in collaboration with their intended outcomes.
Masoom undertook her Nurse Training at the University of Central Lancashire. She has worked as a Staff Nurse at East Lancashire NHS Trust on a Paediatric day case unit, followed by the busy acute Children’s Unit. Masoom has a range of experience in teaching Nurses and Doctors- whilst on the ward. She was a Link Nurse for Infant Feeding and a member of Documentation Planning- thus creating positive evidence-based change within the ward setting.
