Lucy Anne Shutler
Lucy is an educated lecturer who has worked here since 2014. She also has previous experience teaching engineering in colleges and schools. She has a professional interest in coaching practical electronics particularly successful laboratory applications. She also has a personal interest in equality and diversity, and is registered as disabled.
Lucy currently lectures on our MEng Electrical Electronic and Robotics courses and the Foundation in Engineering. She is a module leader for Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Engineering Co-ordinator for PASS groups (Peer Assisted Study Sessions).
Since 1998, Lucy has experienced teaching with all ages and levels. Electronic engineering particularly practical work is her principal and most passionate subject. Whilst lecturing here, she has increased her responsibilities and is now in charge of practical electronics and promoting electronics. In addition, she supports 1st year students with their progress and through peer assisted study groups.
Prior to teaching, Lucy worked in industry as a technician and workshop engineer, providing support and repairing circuit boards to component level.
