Andrew Mason

Andrew teaches across a range of management subjects for the School. Andrew has particular expertise in hospitality and tourism management, and human resource management.
Andrew is a member of the Institute of Hospitality through experience, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development through accredited qualifications. Andrew's recent research focused on home and hybrid working within a clinical workforce.
Andrew's career in the hospitality and tourism industry spanned over twenty years and included a variety of leadership roles mainly with Marriott International. Andrew first joined there as a graduate after completing a BA (Hons) Degree at the Manchester Metropolitan University. Andrew gained further qualifications in 2020 after completing a Diploma in Human Resource Management, before joining us in 2021 to begin teaching in higher education. In 2023, Andrew graduated again with a Masters in Management Research, passing with distinction. Andrew enjoys using his industry experience to bring to life management theory and practice, inspiring a new generation of leaders.
