Yasmin's professional interests lie in the community setting including school nursing practice and public health. Yasmin a senior lecturer and teaches across both pre and post registration nursing courses. She is a qualified adult, sick children's nurse , school nurse and practice teacher. She has a Masters qualification in Practice Enhancement. Yasmin is pathway leader for School Nursing and course leader for the Post Graduate Certificate Practice Teacher Preparation.

Assisted Dr Karen Whittaker on project looking at Family Support in a local Primary Care Trust completed July 2009.

Completed research project September 2009 with student intern examining Young People’s perceptions of School Health Services through student internship scheme.
