Tara started her career at the Blackpool Victoria Hospital in the early 1990’s and following qualification took a post in the Accident and Emergency Department where she later became Sister. She has also worked as a Practice Nurse and most recently as a Health Visitor within the Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde area.

Tara has always enjoyed and facilitated clinical teaching as well as acting as a mentor for both pre and post registration students. She currently teaches on both pre and post registration modules for nurses, paramedics and other allied health professionals along with being the course leader for the BS(c) Enhanced Paramedic top-up.
She is passionate about clinical skills and recognises their importance within both pre and post registration programmes. She currently holds an honorary contract for the Accident & Emergency Department at Blackpool Victoria Teaching Hospital.

Tara's areas of interest include optimising outcomes through nursing interventions and the effects of parental behaviour on children.

Her clinical link areas are within the community sector of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.
