William Fisher is currently employed as a PL in Academic Development within the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT). He currently manages the UCLan UKPSF CPPD Framework (D2/3 at UCLan). He has developed and runs a number of workshops related to this framework, including the RYLE (Renew/re-invigorate/refresh Your Learning Experience) one-day workshop.
William Fisher has a background in Finance and Strategy and has worked for a number of organisations that include: Norwich union Insurance Group, Fisons Pharmaceuticals; Coopers and Lybrand chartered accountants. William has also run his own company and has acted as a consultant for the CII/EU. He has been employed in the Higher Education sector for over 20 years and currently has a role in Academic Development.
William has research interests in academic development and in leadership. In academic development this includes the development of learning models. In leadership this includes an EdD relating to the Legacy of Leadership.
