Opportunities are available in all our Schools to undertake supervised research at doctoral and masters level and most research degrees can be studied on either a full or part-time basis.
UCLan has an established research reputation in a wide range of academic disciplines. You should expect a research degree at UCLan to challenge you. On completion of your research degree you should be in a very strong position for pursuing your chosen career.
The research support infrastructure deals with issues relating to postgraduate research students (PGRS) across the University. We are also responsible for research development including research student and research staff training, production of the University’s research magazine - BreakThrough, and systems to support ethical approval.
All our research staff and student training is mapped to the four domains of the Researcher Development Framework, and starts with research students entering the door, continuing up to our eminent Professoriate. For all research student and staff training enquiries, please contact Emma Sandon-Hesketh, Head of Research Development and Support.
