Very best of creative student work goes on display at Harris Museum and Art Gallery

A free public art exhibition curated by Turner Prize nominee and University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Professor Lubaina Himid MBE has opened at the Harris Museum and Art Gallery.

It showcases 31 individual pieces of work created by final year students across a range of disciplines including architecture, design, fashion, fine art and media.  All of the students, from the Faculty of Culture and the Creative Industries, were chosen to take part in the exhibition because they were judged to be the very best from the University’s Lancashire Arts Festival Degree Show.  Each student was either a winner or nominee at the Lancashire Arts Festival Awards, sponsored by Creative Lancashire.

Professor of Contemporary Art Lubaina Himid MBE has curated the exhibition.

She said: “It's been an immense pleasure to work with an expert team of UCLan staff to showcase the strength and variety of excellent creativity on offer in the Faculty of Culture and the Creative Industries.”
