Chinese New Year Mulan performance

The Beijing based group reinterpreted Mulan, a timeless, classic tale of one young girl’s bravery in the face of adversity. An inspiring journey for the entire family, it told the story of a peasant girl so committed to her ailing father that she disguised herself as a man and took his place in the Emperor's army. The story was brought to life in a Disney animation film but this performance combined loud drumming and energetic Chinese kung fu and created a colourful and eye-catching performance.
