Tyn Dwr Outdoor Centre

The University of Central Lancashire acquired the Tyn Dwr estate in summer 2007. The site facilities include the magnificent Tyn Dwr Hall and the Victorian Coach House, set in over 7 acres of private grounds. Together with our partner Pro-Active Adventure, we specialise in Outdoor Education and pursuits. In January 2008 the University started it's £2 million upgrade of the main hall and site; this was subsequently completed this year. This upgrade now includes the new Yurt camp facility, the main hall which has been refurbished to a very high standard and the Coach House facility.

We can provide, to a maximum residential occupancy of 97 beds, your group with the following activities; Day Activity Sessions, School Residential Activities, Youth Development, Residential Summer Schools, Awards and Instruction, Corporate Management and Leadership Training, Activity Group leisure breaks, Day Conferencing and Meetings tailored to your requirements.

On site facilities include a BMX track, archery, high/low ropes course and climbing wall.  The surrounding area is ideal for a huge range of adventure activities including hill walking, gorge walking, canoeing and climbing.
