What you'll do

  • The course is ideal for anyone with an interest in languages who aspires to teach. It is not a teacher training programme but ideal preparation for one at any level. It also offers routes into non-teaching careers and postgraduate research.
  • You’ll combine the study of Education with a modern language: Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian or Spanish.
  • This combination will provide you with skills and experiences that enhance your employability. Opening up many opportunities for a career in education and languages.

Modules

The modules you'll study will depend on the pathway you choose. You'll study compulsory modules related to education. You'll then have compulsory modules from your chosen language pathway (Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian or Spanish). Depending on your pathway you may be able to choose optional modules to make up your course.
