Beginning your university journey at one of our Partner Institutions is an exciting time and there's a lot to take in. You can start to familiarise yourself with all the key information with our Good to Know guide from enrolment to the services you have access to as a Partner student. Validate your email

Have you received your validation email? Once you’ve validated your email you will receive other important information from us including your username and password so you can access the university network. If you have any further questions please contact The <i> on 01772 89500 or by email



You will need to enrol both at your partner institution and with UCLan as soon as possible, so as not to delay any student finance or access to other university services. The online registration process should take no longer than 10 minutes and is a simple confirmation of your details. You will need your UCLan username and password to enrol. This will be sent to you one you have validated your email address.


Your UCLan ID Card

To access UCLan facilities, you need a valid UCLan ID Card. You can apply as soon as you have a Student Registration number.

To apply for your UCLan ID card, please visit and upload a digital passport style photo.

You will need your 8 digit Student Registration number to hand. This is preceded by a letter (normally a G).

ID Cards are posted to your home address on production. You cannot collect your card on campus

Your username and default password will be printed on the back of your ID Card. If you have validated your email address you should have already received these details. If you have changed your password before receiving your UCLan Card you should continue to use your new password.

In addition to the library facilities available at your Partner Institution, you are also entitled to membership of the UCLan main campus library, IT facilities and Online Library resources. These include;

  • Access to the computer network & the internet
  • Access to Subject specialists
  • Support desks

You have access to a wide range of resources and services on the University Network (including Office 365, Email and Remote Access) and online that will help you get the most out of your time on your University course. This induction covers the essential information you need to get started.
