Societies are a great way to meet people with similar interests and make friends. Our Students' Union has over 150 societies, from Cheerleading to Harry Potter, so whatever your passion you can be sure to meet like-minded friends.
There are plenty of fun activities in and around Preston to entertain you. Why not head to Level - Preston's newest leisure venue, based in the Guild Hall in the city centre. There's everything from bowling, crazy golf and darts to an assault course, karaoke booths and laser tag. If you fancy a challenge with your friends, The Escape Room is a short walk out of the centre and will have you puzzled. Preston also has two cinemas both just a short bus ride away if you fancy catching the latest movie.
Preston has tonnes of eateries, delivering tastes from around the world. From Heavenly Desserts a luxury café providing unique sweet treats, to Cocos Soul Food a casual restaurant bringing Caribbean flavours to Lancashire. If you want somewhere a little more unique Dice and Donuts is a board game café, with a library of classic and modern board games for you to play while enjoy a coffee. No alcohol nightlife
It’s easy to enjoy Preston’s nightlife without alcohol. A number of bars and pubs in the city, including our Students' Union, Source Bar, serve a selection of fruity mocktails, a delicious alternative to traditional cocktails. A quiz night can also provide some great evening entertainment, Roper Hall pub hold a quiz with a difference every Thursday, and The Adelphi pub hold free bingo on a Sunday.
