How to choose an undergraduate course
If you have a clear career goal or a strong interest in a particular area, you may already know the course you want to study. If you're uncertain, start by considering your passions and what you enjoy doing.
Need help making your decision? We have some helpful information on how to choose a course. Talk to friends and family, as well as your school or college. Ultimately the choice is down to you.
Undergraduate application process
If you're applying for a full-time course, you'll apply through UCAS.
Apply for a part-time course? You'll use our online application system.
Entry requirements will be different depending on the undergraduate degree you choose. You can find them on our course pages, in our prospectus and on UCAS.
For some courses you'll need a specific grades, and you may need to have these grades in certain subjects.
You'll need three A Level qualifications or equivalent for many courses. For all courses you'll need good GCSE grades and most of our courses need a pass in GCSE Maths and English.
T Levels
Are you currently studying T Levels and thinking about what to do at the end of your course? UCAS have published tariff points for T Levels to help you progress to university. We'll be accepting T Levels based on the tariff points allocated by UCAS and other course level requirements specified.
Whether you're applying for a full-time or part-time undergraduate course, you'll need to write a personal statement.

What is a reference?
A reference is a written endorsement provided by an academic teacher, advisor, or professional. They should be familiar with your educational background.
UCAS reference
If you're applying through UCAS you will need to submit a reference. The process for getting a reference for your application varies. It will depend whether you're applying independently or through a school, college, or a UCAS-registered centre.
References for a part-time application
You'll be able to submit your reference in the supporting information section of the online application form. If you're having any difficulty getting a reference, please contact our Admissions Team.
Full-time undergraduate
If you want to study a full-time undergraduate degree, you'll need to apply through UCAS. You can apply any time form early September for the following year.
Visit UCAS below, click on 'apply' and register for your account. You'll need our institution code which is CLANC 30 to hand. The UCAS website provides helpful hints and videos along the way to help you with your application.

If you’re looking to study your undergraduate degree part-time, you can apply directly to us via our online application portal.

Key dates for your diary
If you're applying through UCAS there are key dates that might apply to you throughout the year. These will be different depending on when you apply, what courses you've chosen and your final results.
UCAS opens and you can start your application for university entry the following September. Take your time and ask for help from your school or college. You need a good personal statement to make your application stand out.
Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL)
