If you're looking for a UK University experience, for a semester or for a full year, the University of Central Lancashire has plenty to offer.

We welcome international exchange students wishing to spend time studying in the UK to our supportive community. We are one of the biggest and most diverse universities in the UK. Our safe campus has a friendly feel with lots of popular destinations to explore nearby. You’re sure to make friends for life when you study with us.

How does the exchange programme work?

We have exchange agreements with almost 100 universities from around the world. In Europe we are part of the Erasmus+ scheme and we have partners in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Hong Kong through the Worldwide Exchange programme.

For areas outside of Erasmus+ and the Worldwide Exchange programme, we are also involved with the International Student Exchange Programme (ISEP), which covers the rest of the world.

How do I apply to study abroad?

Interested in studying with us under one of our exchange agreements? You'll need to contact your home institution for information on the application process. You can also contact our friendly team, and we'll help you with your application.

Exceptions

We try to accommodate and welcome all international exchange students. However, we do have a number subjects that are exempt from our study abroad degree programmes. The following subjects currently are not part of our international students study abroad programme:

  • Medicine
  • Dentistry
  • Midwifery
  • British Sign Language (BSL)
  • Health Professionals
  • Optometry
  • Veterinary
