Moving on guide

This guide was correct at the time of publishing in September 2021. However, courses and routes can still change throughout the year.

Many of our courses that run in our partner institutions provide opportunities for Moving On to study for a higher qualification or progression to complete your programme of study at UCLan. To find out more simply check out your options using the course table below and read the Moving On Steps to discover what steps to take next.

*On entry to the Nursing programme: all applicants must meet the Nursing and Midwifery Council requirements for literacy, numeracy, good health and good character. Applicants will be selected based upon the following:

  • Selection Event Assessment (Interview)
  • Occupational Health Medical Screening
  • Disclosure & Barring Service criminal background check (previously CRB)
  • English Language – GCSE level C or above.
  • Mathematics – GCSE level C or above

Where courses are noted as 'subject to course approval', offers may not be made on that course until the course has been fully approved.

Please also note that some Moving On routes may be subject to conditions, such as a minimum mark on your current course. Please see the programme specification or speak to your tutor for further information.
