The Worldwise Centre employs students to work in the centre in the following roles:
To support students studying languages on the Part-Time Languages Certificate and the Worldwise Languages Programme in the development of their conversation skills.
To Support the Worldwise Centre and School of Humanities, Language and Global Studies during Welcome Week, at induction events and help with the International Film Festival.
To provide a point of contact and advice to students and the wider community looking for further information about learning a language or getting involved in cultural activities.

Worldwise works closely with UCLan Careers to provide a range of employment workshops to help you on your journey to find work around the world. The workshops aim to enhance your experience and support you in finding the job of your dreams. The Finding Employment Abroad series covers topics such as interview techniques; business and cultural etiquette; the working environment and advice on where to look for employment abroad. Workshops have focused on the Arab business etiquette and employment opportunities in China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Russia.
A semester-long elective for final year students in which you learn how to plan and implement a specific international event sponsored by the Worldwise Centre. You will develop your planning, budgeting, marketing and team working skills while gaining experience of running a real-life event. To sign up for this module contact your hub.
Volunteering opportunities offered at the centre are also a great chance for you to develop both personally and professionally using your knowledge of languages and cultures, your international communication skills and your experience abroad - while having a lot of fun!
