Every year the Worldwise Learning Centre looks for students to work in the Centre in the following roles:
To Support the Worldwise Learning Centre and School of Language and Global Studies during Welcome Week, at induction events and help with the International Film Festival.
To provide a point of contact and advice to visitors on the available language and culture learning resources in the Centre.
To support students studying languages on the Part-Time Languages Certificate and the Worldwise Languages programmes in the development of their conversation skills.
These positions are advertised on the Careers website at the beginning of each Semester.
RAF Intelligence are visiting UCLan to talk with students about exciting opportunities for linguists within the RAF on Wednesday 5 February at 14:30. Core opportunities currently exist with Arabic, Russian and Farsi languages however, further training in Dari, Pashto, French and Spanish is available along with other languages as global situations develop. A range of incentives are available including bursary schemes and a golden hello. For more information come along to this informative event.

Cultural Events Management in Practice (WP3001)
A semester-long elective for final year students in which you learn how to plan and implement a specific international event sponsored by the Worldwise Learning Centre. You will develop your planning, budgeting, marketing and team working skills while gaining experience of running a real-life event.
