Learning a language can really broaden your horizons and give you the advantage and extra confidence you need when job-hunting, communicating with new friends or travelling the world. Whichever language you choose to learn, UCLan has a pathway to suit you.
Our Part-Time Languages Programme offers 24 weeks of taught classes per level and is formally assessed. Classes start each September in Arabic, Catalan, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish in a range of levels. You can take the course as a free choice elective, or as a certificate alongside your degree.
Elective route: Students choosing a language as a credit bearing elective please visit www.uclan.ac.uk/electives or contact the C&T Hub.
Certificate route: Enrolment will take place online. Further details to follow.
If you take a language as an elective, there will be no additional cost.
If you take a language as a certificate the fee is £259 per module for all UCLan students.
