We have an experienced team of advisers in The <i>, Student Support centre who can help with your financial support queries. Whether you would like more information about the support you might be entitled to or whether you need help with a complex funding query, our team are on hand to help. If your query is more complex, we may ask to book you in for a dedicated appointment with one of our advisors to discuss your case in detail.
If you are struggling to access your student funding, we can facilitate practitioners calls with your funding provider. You will need to be able to speak to the funding provider during these calls to confirm your identity, therefore these appointments will be booked by one of our advisors and held over Microsoft Teams. Short-term loans can normally only be considered for full-time UK home students.
If you are a part time student, EU or International student we may require further information before a decision can be made, depending on your circumstances. College enrolled students should contact their college for financial support.
We may also offer appointments to students that apply to us for Financial Support, where your circumstances are complex or where you are struggling to provide us with the requested evidence.
We predominantly offer support over the telephone, by email and via Starfish and have extended opening hours so that we are here when you need us.
After you have made your initial enquiry, our advisers will let you know whether you need a one to one appointment to resolve your query and will book this in at a time that suits you. The appointments will usually be held via telephone or Microsoft Teams.
If we need to see you in person, we do have a limited number of face-to-face appointments available Monday to Friday. The advisor that you speak to over the phone will tell you if you need a face to face appointment and can book this for you.
