If you are a returning student, it would be worth reading the What's new this Academic Year page to familiarise yourself with any changes that have been made since last academic year that may have had an impact on the outcome of your assessment this year.

If your query is regarding the Hardship fund, you may also find it useful to review the How you are assessed page as well in order to fully understand how our assessors worked out your entitlement.

What's Next

If you are still not happy with the outcome of your application after your appointment, you will be given access to our Appeals form so you can submit a formal appeal which will be reviewed by a senior management member of Student Services staff and you will receive a written response within 10 working days.

Please be aware, since the Carers Bursary and Estrangement/Vulnerable Young Person Bursary are managed and assessed by our Counselling, Mental health and Wellbeing Team as they also provide additional support to students that are eligible for these bursaries. As such, we may consult with this team about your application for support and any appeals that are received.
