Prior to any student commencing health care based placements certain requirements must be met in order to comply with the requirements of our practice partners. It is a student’s responsibility to ensure that these requirements are achieved and NO STUDENT will be allowed to commence placement without these requirements being fully achieved. Students should note, if these requirements are not achieved, insurances are not valid and students therefore cannot be in practice.
Completion of these requirements can take a number of weeks and in some cases months, so we advise all students to commence these processes as soon as possible and complete all requirements as a matter of urgency to reduce the possibility of any delays. It is a student's responsibility to complete each element. Non-completion can result in a student having to take an interruption to study if work based learning requirements cannot be achieved before progression points.
