In light of the global coronavirus situation this year, we had to take the difficult decision to cancel the physical graduation ceremonies scheduled to take place in July 2020. We planned to rearrange the celebrations for December but reluctantly we had to accept that we could not proceed with a physical event in December either. We’re sure students will appreciate that it has not been an easy decision to make nor was it taken lightly, but we have done so to protect the safety and wellbeing of our graduates, guests, staff and communities. We understand this will be disappointing and we feel the same way too.
Following a survey we carried out, 75% of graduates would prefer to wait to celebrate their graduation in person rather than a virtual event. We are therefore postponing graduation ceremonies until at least July 2021 and will update graduates when we have a better idea of what will be possible to make the celebration one to remember.
Despite us having to postpone the physical ceremony we will still be posting out graduation certificates and you can take a look at the certificate schedule.
Students from our partner institutions, where these partners also hold celebration ceremonies, will receive information about these direct from the Partner Institution.
As the ceremonies for all graduates in the year 2020 will now run in July 2021, it is expected that the final year students due to graduate in July 2021 will now have their ceremony in December 2021.
