You can now enjoy free food and drinks in the Preston Campus refectories every weekday evening and weekend mornings.
The University is opening Harrington and Foster refectories between 5pm and 7.15pm Monday to Friday and Greenbank from 8.30am to 1.30pm every weekend for students and University staff to get free hot drinks, water, sandwiches and fruit, as well as free slices of pizza (available in Harrington refectory only).
During these times you can also buy other food and drinks in the refectories at the usual price, including sushi and paninis.
In addition, if you live in UCLan’s halls of residence, you will get a weekly delivery of a free Chicago Town pizza on either Monday, Wednesday or Friday evening with deliveries starting on Wednesday 14 October.
The food and drink offer has been introduced by the University to help and support you during this challenging time. It is also our way of thanking you for continuing to follow the Government restrictions and health and safety guidelines in keeping yourself and others safe while on campus.
Other promotions will be running between now and December, including a vegetarian and vegan food month as well as themed days and special offers. Keep checking the Student Support news page and your weekly student newsletter for details.
Harrington refectory and Foster Coffee Square is open as usual from 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, the free food and drinks offers are only available in Harrington and Foster refectories during weekday evenings and in Greenbank on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
If you are in self-isolation, you must not visit any part of campus, including the refectories. You must follow the advice for arranging food deliveries and should remain in your household until your isolation period has ended.
